  Below is a list of items that should accompany you on every troop camping trip. On camping trips where the space and activities are supported by a larger group - such as camporee & summer camp - some of these items may be optional.      
 
  • Boy-size pack
  • Class A uniform (shirt, bolo & cap)
  • Scout Handbook
  • Pencil and paper
  • Mess Kit  (bowl or plate, cup, spoon, fork, knife, canteen)
  • Poncho
  • Sleeping Bag 
  • Foam sleeping pad
  • Flashlight
  • Extra Batteries
  • Watch
  • Compass (optional)
  • Complete change of clothes  (based upon weather conditions)
  • Hiking Boots (optional for camporee)
  • Socks
  • Extra pair of shoes 
  • Extra pairs of socks
  • Extra pairs of underwear
  • Toothbrush & toothpaste
  • Toilet paper
  • Deodorant
  • Soap
  • Wash cloth
  • Towel
  • Swimming suit (optional/weather)
  • Beach towel (optional/weather)
  • Personal First Aid Kit
  • 3 trash bags (for clothes, etc.)
